Hi @BitsTODAY, this is @nigeleccles on the beat. BitClout Identity is a hugely important step on BitClout’s journey to grow its ecosystem. Until now, any app or service that wanted to know who a user was had to ask for their private seed phrase, which required an enormous amount of trust from users (and effectively granting full access to your bank account). Given BitClout Identity will allow apps to onboard users without needing their private key information, users should be more likely to try new apps, which should ideally bring new energy to exciting new projects and inspire more developers.
4/20 BitSwap it 🔥?
Not only is 4/20 an iconic day for marijuana enthusiasts everywhere, but for BitClout, 4/20 may go down in history as the day @BitSwap officially went live. As of this writing, one of our editors was still on a waitlist to test the @BitSwap relaunch (position 500+ to be exact). @Sigil did let us know privately that the tool may be ready for all before EOD, but it could be a close call. Perhaps 4/21 will be the one that goes down in the history books. While we wait, we’re reading the new whitepaper for @BitSwap (found here).
We’re curious, has anyone reading this had success BitSwapping today (and can we add that as an official verb to the Clout Dictionary)? Leave a comment on one of our posts if so 🙌

Hey guys, @dripcult here.
If you saw the above graphic floating around on your feed earlier this week, we would be shocked if it didn’t catch your eye. It’s a quick yet stunning demo from the project @cloutsights created by @kushagra and @shubhamjain.
Their new project is being released as an app available for MacBook users that have the menu bar (sucks to suck PC fans). @Cloutsights will track the coin price of any creator you wish to add to your list. And since they’re just tracking coins, there’s no need to add your seed phrases or personal data. Here’s what @rrhoover had to say:
If you want a full video run down of how it works, @kushagra sent over a video demonstration for us to watch and share with you here.
#4 Clout Culture with @Fungibles.
Welcome to a new @BitsTODAY section, namely Clout Culture with @Fungibles. In these confines we’ll regularly take deep dives into the explosive world of NFTs, the creator economy, and how the BitClout ecosystem can play a massive role in it. Sound “fun”-gible? We agree.
Hi @BitsTODAY gang, @Fungibles here.
Even before we started working on Fungibles.com, our work sat at the intersection of art and technology. And yet never before have the two combined together and fed off of each others’ progress faster than in the last year.
In a recent study by The Harris Poll on behalf of Adweek, 40% of Americans say they’re now familiar with NFTs — up from 27% who said they were familiar with them when polled just under two weeks ago. When we bought fungibles.com back in October of 2020, we knew NFTs were taking off, and the catalyst was going to be celebrity involvement and adoption (@parishilton… we’re waiting for your BitClout profile to pop off). But we did not expect common knowledge to go interstellar this quickly. Artists are the new rock stars, and everyone, from athletes to musicians and … Charmin Toilet Paper are getting into the game. (Side note: how has TP managed to stay at the front of the news cycle for a year now?)
We have been on BitClout since March 28th (we know, we’re OGs). We’re blown away by the creativity folks are exhibiting, not just with artwork, but in leveraging their coins and the platform to provide incentives to investors, followers, and art lovers. If Beeple’s $69M sale was a watershed moment for NFTs, then BitClout’s greater adoption might be the watershed moment for social tokens, the creator economy, and beyond.
What do we want to see next? For one, an integrated marketplace for NFTs on BitClout (ideally something as sleek as what @CharlieHilton mocked up). This will ideally attract more artists to BitClout, away from say, Twitter. We want to see new drops that are native to BitClout. The marketplace could be the rocket fuel that takes BitClout NFTs from Mars to Venus.
#5 It’s like BitClout but in real life
While we enjoy the friendly confines of the BitClout platform, some users are already living in 2030, enjoying the positivity and energy of BitClout in person. Lucky for us, @AlinaFerry had her boots on the ground.
Hi BitFam, @AlinaFerry here,
With many major cities across the US opening up again, what better way to celebrate than for our clout familia in Los Angeles to flex our newly regained freedom off-platform, with not one, but two gatherings this past Saturday?

The morning started at the Beverly Canon Gardens where the @alectorelly hosted our first BitClout ☕ meet-up. Attendees included the man, the myth, the legend @shamandurek, international man of mystery @gregbostrom, the BitGirl and Cryptonaut herself, @RenataVc, and many others. We chatted about BitClout extensively, especially regarding coin investment strategy. But we’re keeping our ideas proprietary for now ;)
Later in the afternoon, private chef extraordinaire @samiudell opened her “Burgers and BitClout” pop-up for friends and fellow clouters. Ironically dubbed “Mediocre Burger”, the food was outstanding (and we’re sure it looked tantalizing all over your feeds before images went down). The pop-ups’ space had a very comfy patio where we all discussed… you guessed it, BitClout, particularly the gossip of the day.

@nvo back here again. Dare we say that Saturdays are for the BitClouters now, not the boys? It’s amazing to see folks getting together, building and socializing both on and off-platform. There’s a whole world of opportunity to explore for coin holder benefits, investor meet ups… maybe even @tinderclout dates??? Here’s to hoping we at @BitsToday can join one of these on our next Saturday off.
Alrighty folks, this @BitsTODAY joint has burned down to a crisp. We know we went a bit longer-form, magazine style today; tomorrow, look for us to keep things shorter snappier. We’ll be excited to hear what you think then, too.
Blessings,
@BitsTODAY
